Sue is grabbing the chance to have a short breather of a couple of days off this week so we are extending last weeks offers.  We have included some tasting notes at the bottom to help you choose.

Thanks for last weeks orders and personal notes of support and memories of your time at Bellwether.  They make our day!

Vintage is all but done, we are cleaning, topping tanks and barrels.  Stirring the lees in our Chardonnay and Rosato. Checking the Malo’s of our reds.

We have included the videos below (just in case you missed them on our Facebook page) from our Coonawarra and Tamar Valley vineyards that some of our finest fruit comes from.  The Wetherall’s Cabernet block in Coonawarra and Bundaleera in Relbia in Tasmania (Rob did a great job!).

We will be uploading a virtual tasting (as if you have dropped in to cellar door) on our website. So while you can’t come and taste at the moment, check this out for an overview of our wines, and a glimpse inside the 1868 stone Glen Roy shearing shed that is now our winery and cellar door.

Remember any order of 1 dozen or more has the potential to win a free #Glamping #Voucher. We will drop one into a case every week.

If you have ever wanted to experience vintage, or know someone who would love it. Tune in for this insight, before Steve heads home to Lennox Head.

Maybe get the ultimate gift for your wine loving friend, a week as a winemaker in the 2021 vintage.

Next week:

We will visit a local rose grower near Kalangadoo called Wagner's Roses.

2017 Ant series Tasmanian Riesling
A cool year with hallmark Tassie acid. Dry, complex and textural. Fermented on full solids, natural yeast and partial puncheon ferment (large old oak). White flower, delicate blossom aromas.
2017 Ant series Coonawarra Cabernet
A cool year, fragrant, classic choc mint, dried capsicum with round, mouth filling but smooth tannins.

2015 Tamar Valley Chardonnay

- ageing very slowly, tight, mineral and zesty with hints of flinty sulphides.  Will cellar for longer but really complex yet still tight now.

2015 Coonawarra Cabernet

Very even fruit set, beautiful size bunches and well spaced across the canopy.  A great season, almost perfect making very good Cabernet.  Dense and brooding with very refined tannins.  A true classic Coonawarra.

Both beautiful sites that are early ripening with respect to neighbouring vineyards, essentially due to detailed pruning, shoot thinning and crop thinning if necessary.

Please be aware that freight company's are overwhelmed at the moment, so delivery times can be much longer than usual.
