We have finished harvesting our 2020 grapes. We have even pressed off all our reds except the long maceration Coonawarra Cabernet. Our Tassie Riesling juice is just starting to ferment, the last of our ferments for the year.
Vintage this year has been a great distraction from the happenings in the world. I’ve lived in a beautiful bubble of not 'working from home' - but 'living at work'. The upside of the closure of our cellar door and campground has been the complete focus on making wine and cooking good food to sustain ourselves.
Whilst we wish there was a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, we are very grateful to our 'virtual community'.
Our Friday night residency with Kelly Menhennett is a weekly highlight. It's great that we all connect - we love you Kelly! Don't forget tonight 17th April at 8pm ACDT is a special one for Kelly's birthday. You can support her personally with a donation through THIS link.
On Saturday 10am ACDT, we will be live on Facebook from our growers vineyard block in Coonawarra (Sue Bell & Mike Wetherall in the Cabernet vineyard below), then cross to Tasmania to meet Rob and Janine Bennett (below right), in Relbia near Launceston, at the beautiful Bundaleera vineyard (more pics and video of handpicking our Chardonnay further below).
I’m so touched by the orders we have received, from both old friends and new. Every bit helps.
Some positive news is that we have reopened for takeaway orders: Thursdays to Sundays 12 noon - 5pm.

We will be putting a free Kelly Menhennett CD in one of the dozens (see the special below) ordered this week and a voucher to come and glamp with us in another - so dig deep, your chances are very good!
